Public Works
Responsibilities
The Public Works Department is on call 24 hours a day year round to handle any emergency. Our divisions also have a vigorous preventive maintenance program to make sure our facilities are in good working order. A partial list of responsibilities include:

Emergency Service Recycling Tips
If you are in need of our Public Works Department during off-hours, weekends, or holidays for reasons such as, sewer back-ups, road obstructions and flooding (that cannot wait until the next working day) please call 911.
Parks
Our Public Works Department works hard to maintain our parks. The Township has 11 parks throughout the community. For more information on all our parks, see the Parks page. There is something for everyone one and every age. Our parks include:
- Basketball courts
- Gyms
- Hockey rinks
- Tennis courts
- Walking trails
Programs such as the Marple Little League and the Marple-Newtown Soccer Association make use of these facilities.
